We are a community of faith that values the Lutheran tradition but isn't stuck in the past. The people in this place welcome ALL without reservation to worship God who knows us and LOVES us. By GRACE we are given mercy and freedom to live for one another. Youth, children, families, and seniors are all vital parts of this community. From worship, we are sent out to live in faith and gratitude for all that God has done is doing and will do in our lives to come.
Reformation Lutheran Church is an inclusive and affirming congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and has been a part of the downtown Las Vegas community since 1948! We have recently approved a statement of welcome for all, and give thanks for our LGBTQIA+ siblings and neighbors.
Statement of Welcome
Reformation Church seeks to always be an open and welcoming faith community. Since all people are created in God’s image, we commit to working toward justice and inclusivity inside and outside this congregation. What does that mean? This means that our table is a place where Jesus sits down to share a meal with us.
This faith community welcomes, includes, and affirms people of every race, color, culture, age, gender identity and gender expression, sexual orientation, marital status, faith story, economic situation, physical and mental ability, educational level, and work history.
In this church, you can be who you are and more fully become the person God made you to be!
We come here to meet Jesus - who meets us as we are, welcomes, and leads us into the fullness of new life through his death and resurrection. Together, we grow in faith and discover what it means to be the heart of Christ in the heart of the city!
