Whosoever Metropolitan Community Church of Philadelphia is a gay friendly church welcoming the LGBTQ community. Being empowered through discipleship, WMCCP exists to become alive in Christ and to receive the full manifestation of the Holy Spirit while actively impacting and uplifting the LGBTQ Community in a revolutionary, Christ-like fashion. We proclaim the life changing Good News of God’s love to the LGBTQ Community and beyond; and MCCP provides a safe, accepting spiritual refuge to all LGBTQ people.

During worship at WMCCP, we come together to offer our very best to God. This is a time of anointing and healing for all of us, and as this is an offering to him, we do not set a time to bring our gatherings to a close. We always include lively music and inspiring messages, and sometimes even dancing! We value being a Christ-centered and spirit-filled church with excellence in energetic and transformational worship.

LGBTQ people have faced discrimination because of societal attitudes, that are, unfortunately, often taught by churches that use the Bible to "bash" us. It is important for all of us to know that such hurtful things are not a reflection of Christ, or the way God wants the church to be, or even what the Bible actually says. Whosoever MCC of Philadelphia is a revolutionary church that strives to be a place of comfort, hope, and safety to all people. We believe we will become an internationally recognized LGBTQ Christian church, offering charismatic worship services as well as affirming, biblically-based training for future ministers. We will always provide counseling and support to those in need, and protect those in religiously persecuted and abusive situations. We are committed to human rights issues and health-related education, particularly HIV. Our goal is to be known for our role in efforts that unite the Philadelphia-area LGBTQ community and our allies in spiritual fellowship, community events, and collaborative support services. We will always strive to meet the needs of the LGBTQ community, be open to all people, provide a liberal application of our traditional Christian foundation, and offer a family-oriented environment that cares for and supports all members of our congregation at any stage of their life.
