Let's talk about hardwood restoration for a moment. So many of the homes in our area are beautiful, old homes with potentially beautiful, old floors. Hardwood floors inherently add value to your home. Restoring what may already be in place is often the best return on your investment. While refinishing existing hardwood floors is not always an option depending on the condition, be extremely cautious and skeptical when it comes to hardwood floor “enhancers” and “rejuvenators”. These treatments are meant to hide or disguise problems with the floor by bonding to the existing finish. It will NOT fix the damaged area, and these techniques aren’t designed to last. In fact, some processes can permanently damage your existing finish, causing you to spend more money later on to do it the right way. Do your homework, always ask what type of products are being used and what the chemical make-up is, how does it work, and how difficult is it to remove later on-- or call on us and we'll guide you to the best possible solution for your budget and needs.
